Description

Social robotics are a popular research topic. A strong business case is health social robotics. Our Lab has performed a viability test in a real environment and we are looking for partners for a large-scale research project. The scenario is about supporting child bone-marrow transplantation patients by a social robot. The unique feature of the approach is that it is both highly variable, long-term and highly controllable. The child stays in a 6m2 sterile room for 80-120 days so quite long term data collection and evaluation can be performed. The "world complexitiy" can be just a few persons or all the staff, relatives and helpers. So quite straightforward and complex cognitive processes can be analyzed, processed and evaluated. Looking forward to interested partners.
