Description
The lattice loop equations, or Migdal-Makeenko equations, are the
Schwinger-Dyson equations in loop space. Loop space is a formulation of QCD
using guage-invariant operators, Wilson loops, rather than gauge fields. We
have developed a method for numerically calculating bounds on the expectation
values of the Wilson loops in both the weak and the strong coupling regimes
using the loop equations. In QCD2 these bounds very closely match the
analytic values in the large-N limit. The method generalizes to QCD4 and
should be applicable to future SUSY lattice studies.
